GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Safely operate ready mix truck and deliver concrete to the forms in the Production Plant.

This position starts at $30.64 an hour. Based on experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Have or have the ability to obtain a Class B Commercial Driver License with air brake endorsementPass an ICC Physical and be medically qualified to operate a Commercial VehicleDo light maintenance on ready mix truckHave a good driving record that satisfies the requirements of the company motor vehicle license policyLearn the computer batching system at Wells ConcreteKeep and deliver the records of batching to Quality Control
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
High School Diploma or GEDHave a current Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement, and DOT Health CardPass a DOT Drug Test and be subject to Random Selection testing as per the DOT regulationsBe able to learn and operate a computerized batching systemLearn the skills needed for efficient and safe operation of the ready-mix truckKeep the ready-mix truck clean (periodically washing the truck with mild acid/detergent) and in good mechanical shape (including cleaning and maintenance inside the mixing drum)Be mechanically inclined and be able to do light service work on ready mix truck
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs, occasionallyPhysically able to push, pull, lift, bend, climb, kneel, twist, squat, crawl and use hands/forearms repetitively and frequentlyAbility to move around for up to 12 hours per dayAbility to work from ladders, scaffolding, swing stages and man lifts at various heights frequentlyPossession of a valid driver's license, and the ability to operate a motor vehicle
