As an Extended Coverage Manager, you are responsible for managing all aspects of After-Hours Operations in a high-volume brokerage operation. The Extended Coverage Manager will provide overall leadership in the areas of customer and carrier relations, performance and continuous development. An Extended Coverage Manager must possess a successful track record in performance-based environments that focus on customer service, urgency and ongoing improvement. Responsibilities
Daily communication with other Covenant Solutions Managers to have a comprehensive understanding of all daily activities and matters of importance Ensure that all shipments are actively worked on and covered with the maximum revenue possible to ensure timely pickupAuthority to authorize the booking of a carrier on any committed shipment deemed necessary, even at a lossKnowledge and understanding of all compliance rules for all carriers required by Covenant SolutionsSeat level of employee mentoring for best practice and customer service requirementsCommunicate and support Task Assignments from Operations ManagerMentor Seat Level EmployeesApproval of Buy Rate ExceptionsAssist with managing team performance to objectivesCustomer Exception Check Calls for Detention, Breakdown, OSD, Delay in Transit, OverweightCustomer Services Check Calls for Lumper, Scale Ticket, Tarps, Reefer Temp, Safety Equip, B&B, Seal
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree or relevant equivalent experience 3 years of Experience in Carrier Sales or Carrier Management

Covenant's compensation philosophy's intent is to use a competitive total compensation strategy to determine the current market value of a position while also considering individual factors such as performance in current position, time in seat of current position, experience, level of responsibility/accountability, and longevity with the company. The system will be objective and non-discriminatory.
Pay Range: $56,146.95-$88,833.12
