Responsibilities

Our intern will collaborate with the Global Logistics team, and other functions in MSA to achieve key business initiatives. The intern will have the opportunity to impact MSA's bottom line through Freight Cost Reduction Projects. Interns will be responsible for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to assist the team in assessing cost improvement opportunities.

Projects include:
Tracking on-time delivery performanceData modeling for shipping agreementsUnderstanding fuel pricing impactsWorking cross-functionally with buying, distribution, and sales teamsEstablishing relationships with regional, national, and global service providersGaining experience in overcoming global supply chain challenges
Qualifications

Strong analytical capabilityProficiencies in MS Excel, MS Power Point and MS AccessPrior SAP knowledge a plusStrong oral and written communicationAbility to engage in teams/collaboration
Education Required:
Incumbent should be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a Business discipline (Supply Chain, Mathematics or other analytical field)
Must have completed at least one semester of Sophomore year.

Education Preferred:
Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Data Science
Junior or Senior Status
