Description

We are currently seeking a Concrete Mixer Operator/CDL Driver to join our Latex Division. Wagman operates volumetric mixer trucks to produce specialty concrete throughout the Mid-Atlantic and South Atlantic regions. A Concrete Mixer Operator/CDL Driver is responsible for moving mixer trucks, dry and liquid bulk tankers, and other equipment to and from jobsites. loading mixer trucks with sand, stone, latex, and cement as well as operating volumetric mixers. Other tasks may include but are not limited to filling out timesheets and other forms, working with other divisions in the company, and carrying materials and heavy objects. This position works along with the entire Project Team to support the completion of Wagman projects.

This is a safety sensitive position requiring work on construction sites with various safety hazards inherent in heavy construction.

This position is subject to drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Moving mixer trucks and tanker trailers to and from various job sitesMaintain driver logsPass courses and maintain certifications required to batch concrete from a volumetric mixerStaging batch areas for latex operationsLoading sand and stone into mixers with front end loaders, backhoes and other equipmentLoading mixers with latex and water via gas powered pumpsLoading mixers with cement via compressed airOperate controls on mixer to wash out and clean mixing augerClean hardened concrete off mixing auger with chipping gunsTrain closely with other operators and supervision to learn how to load volumetric mixers and how to produce latex modified concrete and other productsPerform work in a safe manner aligned with Wagman's safety and ethics guidelinesPerform routine maintenance on equipment
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds from ground level to waist level and assist with loading and/or unloading of materialsMust be able to be bounced around when driving on very rough terrainMust be able to climb into and out of truck cabMust be able to bend, squat, and kneel to perform essential tasks including maintenance and inspection of equipmentMust be able to perform simple grasping and fine manipulation tasks with both hands.Required to have acceptable corrected vision (in both eyes) and acceptable corrected hearingMust be able to work outdoors in wet, muddy, cold, hot, and humid weather.
