Martin/Martin, Inc. is looking for a civil project engineer to join our Civil Engineering Group in our Lakewood, Colorado office. This engineer will work for multiple project managers on a broad range of project types. This position will focus on the transportation market and will include opportunities to gain experience in roadway design, signal design, drainage design, cost estimation and specification development.
A typical work week can include roadway design modeling, intersection design, signal design, engineering calculations, plan drawing development, site visits, redlining plans and QA/QC of others' work. Projects are typically in the Rocky Mountain Region but can sometimes take us nationally, offering the opportunity to travel. This position allows for interactions with (owners, architects, contractors, etc.) early in your career along with opportunities for marketing activities.

Entry-level position for project management. Responsible for planning and conducting work requiring sound judgment in evaluation, selection, and implementation of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Devises proven and, if necessary, innovative approaches to problems. Manages and designs projects through design and completion of construction. Represents company in project meetings. Develops rapport with and confidence in clients through effective communication and high-quality engineering work. Provides quality control by checking calculations and documents. Meets project deadlines and design budgets. Duties vary based on discipline listed in title.

Coordinates our work with in-house teams and other firm's project teamsDevelops, monitors, and manages work plans, schedules, and design budgetsKeeps clients satisfied and developing a skillset to address client management problemsOpens projects, establishes budgets, and submits information to accounting team. WORKING CONDITIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES
This position is primarily technical in nature and requires working inside and outside the office to complete a wide range of activities. The following abilities are required:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited engineering curriculum Demonstrates ability to be in responsible charge of projectsCivil: Completed a minimum of 6 months as a Professional EngineerStructural and Investigative: Completed a minimum of 12 months as a Professional Engineer and 6 years of progressive engineering experience (MSCE/MSAE counts as 1 year. Passing the 16-hour SE exam also counts as 1 year)
