Primary Responsibilities:
Truck Driving
Operate company truck and trailer to transport materials and equipment to and from jobsites across the valley, in compliance with local, state and company policies.Understand and comply with DOT regulations regarding hours of service, vehicle inspections, load securement and overall safety. Including logging pre-trip and post trip inspectionsUtilize technology for reporting required DOT inspections.Safely load and unload equipment and materials, ensuring proper distribution and securing of loads. (Forklift experience required)Plan and manage truck operations across multiple jobsites in partnership with superintendent.Ensure truck(s), equipment and tools are safely and securely stored when not in use.Manage truck inventory and communicate needs to superintendent. Maneuver truck into loading or unloading positions throughout jobsite safely and operate effectively on rough terrain/unpaved surfaces.Concrete Finishing
Work with concrete crew on/around concrete forms, assisting with concrete pour and placements (floors, walls, slabs, elevated slabs, and other misc. sitework)Execute concrete finishing tasks, including smoothing, leveling, and finishing surfaces to meet project specifications.Use hand and power tools to finish surfaces, apply curing compounds and more.Operate walking and riding power trowel, fully understanding safety and maintenance procedures.This is not an all-inclusive list, other duties may be assigned by site leadership.
Qualifications:
Possess a current health card or have the ability to obtain oneSuccessfully complete the required DOT physical, drug and alcohol screens, road test, employment verification and background check.DOT certification and compliance knowledgeExcellent written and oral communication skillsCompetent Forklift operatorFlexible schedule for work hours to accommodate concrete pours that start at or around midnight.Preferred journeyman to general foreman experience levelProof of identity and employment authorizationThorough knowledge of equipment and safety processes used in large construction sites.Ability to perform heavy lifting, pushing, pulling of material weighing 50lbs.Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
